Why Jobeee?

Getting employed while in the campus or just after completing the education is the best thing to happen in a student's life . Unfortunately, majority of the students are not so lucky. It takes a good amount of struggle and search to land into their first job.


We understand how important and difficult it is to get a first job and start your career as you step out of your college. With campus recruitments getting lesser and lesser every year, the dream of getting employed while in college is getting increasingly difficult. Companies that recruit from colleges are becoming scarce every year. Our survey clearly establishes the fact that over 80% of the colleges are never visited by a single company last year for campus recruitments.


Have you ever wondered why very few companies come to campuses for recruitments and that too from very few sectors? Is it that only these companies have the requirement? Why smaller companies never come to campuses for recruitments? Do they don't require manpower or don't they recruit freshers?

Bigger companies have the resources, money, and dedicated campus recruitment departments to do events across multiple colleges in various cities. They choose and dictate terms on which colleges and cities to visit, which branches to recruit, and qualification criteria.


This luxury is not available with smaller or mid size companies and honestly many sectors are unrepresented. There are quite a few limitations with 98% of the employers in India. The HR departments are small or non-existent and their reach is limited. None of the colleges have the bandwidth or interest to take the pain to find and invite these companies to campuses to recruit students.


Does that mean that these companies do not have requirements? Absolutely not. In fact, most of you are going to land a job with one of those companies at some point in time, but not without a struggle and lot of search.


"For colleges, the sole focus of campus recruitment drives by bigger companies is to derive mileage and do more business than to really provide employment opportunities to the students. Though students are willing to take up any opportunity that can help them gain expertise and experience, the colleges feel that allowing smaller companies that pay less salaries compared to IT companies would be detrimental to their image."


Conventional wisdom says that each and every student would get employed sooner or later with some employer in the due course. Over 95% of times this employment is with some mid or small size companies that you might not have heard of during your college life.
